Marco Reus and co will host Atlético Madrid for Matchday 3 of the group stage of the UEFA Champions league. With only 4 games between the two teams, it seems like there isn’t enough data to back any predictions. While Lucien Favre’s squad is known for its attacking mindset, Diege Simeone’s side are a very strong in the defense. Therefore, the Spanish team’s players are known for their aggression on and off the ball, and this may cause a concern for Borussia Dortmund staff.
October 27th: Borussia Dortmund vs Hertha BSC

October 30th: Borussia Dortmund vs Union Berlin
Might be the easiest game for Borussia Dortmund during this period. However, DFB cup fixtures tend to surprise more than one can imagine. Many big clubs collapsed in front of lower divisions teams. And this game isn’t one to take easy. Borussia Dortmund must use it as a way to keep the momentum going for the coming fixtures.
November 3rd: Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Another one of these classics, Wolfsburg will host Borussia Dortmund for Matchday 10 of the Bundesliga. Although Borussia Dortmund have more chances of winning this game according to historical data, Wolfsburg is a team that needs winning to stay among teams competing for the title this season.
November 6th: Atlético Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund are visiting Madrid. The German giants became familiar with the Spanish capital thanks to Champions league fixtures against Real Madrid in the previous campaigns. It will be a tough game for Lucien Favre’s side against the defense masterclass that is Atlético Madrid.
November 10th: Borussia Dortmund vs FC Bayern Munich
And the most important one of all. Der Klassiker, the twice a year (at least) encounter between the two biggest teams in Germany. Borussia Dortmund are showing such performance that threatens Bayern Munich’s reign over the Bundesliga in the previous seasons. Winning this game means Borussia Dortmund are being serious about their pursuit of the 2018-19 season title.
